A deliberately small first release
Our first published guide documents a Windows M4A import problem in Audacity. It includes operator-supplied screenshots, synthetic control files and explicit limits. Other editorial drafts are not part of this release.
How the material is made
Research and drafting use AI assistance. A human operator performed the guided application steps and supplied the original screenshots. We distinguish those observations from official documentation and untested advice; we do not describe autonomous UI access, listening or exports as verified when they were not.
Audio Fieldnotes is not affiliated with Audacity, FFmpeg or their developers. Software names identify the tools discussed, not an endorsement.
